Olterior Music  

Olly Louis Mathura O’Keeffe works as a producer, composer, and sound designer under the moniker ‘Olterior Music’. Believing in breaking norms and experimenting in the music industry, he has explored various genres and musical styles; creating complex music and immersive soundscapes as well as making mainstream tracks for music libraries and commercial use.  

His musical work ranges from public installations (lighting and immersive), production libraries, film, theatre, and orchestral works as well as sound design work for digital designers, festivals, and short films. 

He is currently in his 2nd year of BMus studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, as part of the Electronic and Produced Music department and has had the privilege of collaborating with companies and individuals like Blackpool Illuminations, Guildhall Production Studio, Target3D, RAM Records and Digital Designer Farah Ishaq. 

Olly has released a Mixtape under the moniker of ‘Olterior Music,’ being a collection of work which he made during his first academic year at the Guildhall School. He is hoping to release more music this Summer.  

In March of 2025, he had the privilege of working alongside director Mariah Gale as the composer of the Shakespeare play ‘Winter’s Tale’. This show sold out on opening and closing nights, receiving positive feedback from youth critics and attendees.  

He began making music in 2022, beginning as his Secondary School’s/Sixth Form’s Sound and Recording Engineer – producing two full-length cover albums involving students in which he undertook the recording, editing, mixing and mastering of all tracks. This involved bands of up to 8 members as well as multi-part SATB choirs and steel pan groups. 

Olterior Music found its footing as of Summer 2024, where he started releasing works which were intended for his academic assessments. The first being Apogee featuring singer-songwriter and conceptual artist – Eleanor Lee. The song has reached over 1,500 Spotify streams and has had a playlist reach of over 60,000.
